Price of gas keeps falling …

… and I am glad. I think it must have fallen nearly a dollar in the past month and has been plentiful for several weeks since the hurricane in the Gulf knocked out supplies for three weeks.
We can get gas now for $2.59/gallon of regular grade. At the summer peak, I was paying $3.89/gallon. [...]



Gas Prices finally moving downward

Filled up the gast tank with premium gas at $3.65/gallon. I think it was that price sometime last winter I believe. It is about 40¢ off from the peak in the summer time. That works about $4 less per fill-up. Does not seem like much but over a month that works about $30 less for [...]

Passing by the gas station today. A gallon of the regular stuff is $3.35 and the premium is going for $3.60. Oil prices seem to be sticking around $100/barrel as the floor price for awhile. It is going to be rough for awhile at the pump.

One thing I can not stand are people telling me that the economy is doing fine. Statistics are quoted, analogies are made and what we think is bad news is really not so bad. Whatever problems the economy is now facing are only temporary and the economy is fundamentally sound and poised for a rebound.
