Sometimes I can not believe it has been 10 days since our family tragedy. But it has and the wounds have been healed a bit since then perhaps more so for me than for Andrea. Her nights remain somewhat restless as she keeps thinking back to that day and still blaming herself for what happened. [...]

Whenever I envisioned myself giving a eulogy, I thought it may be for my parents, my brother or sister or a close friend. I never thought I would have to give one for one of my children.

It has been several days since Nicholas died yet the pain is just as intense as it was on that very first day. The days feel like they run into each other. Sometimes, when we wake up we wish it was all a bad dream but the reality is that we have lost our son.

Nicholas’s funeral will be taking place on Friday April 11th at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church at 4820 Kinnamon Road Clemmons NC. A reception will be held afterwards in the Family Centre at the Church.
